Description
Rustic, but comfortable holiday apartments, some with a terrace and a view of the sea
The apartments are air-conditioned, but there is also a nice indoor climate due to the thick stone walls. Guests often say that the best way to cool off in the summer heat is either by the sea or in the shady house. It is very casual and Mediterranean.
Local advice is available for individual activities and trips. Bicycles can be used free of charge on one day a week. A cot can be provided free of charge, to be requested in advance.
The nearest parking area is about 50 metres from the house and you can also park a little further away (200 metres) on the owner’s private site.
The village of Betina is rather small, but has a long tradition bound to the sea. Some fishing trawlers continue to bring fish ashore in the evening, and many boaters have their sailing ships off the island and come all year round. The town center (with restaurants and shops, also a green colorful market) is about 150m from the house. The nearest bathing opportunities are about 150m from the house.
There are day trips to the well-known national parks nearby, to the Mediterranean and cheerful cultural cities
(Sibenik, Trogir, Split, Zadar) or to the few known nearby car-free, pristine, quiet islands. Hiking trails lead along the coast with a view of the open sea, and beautiful, very quiet bathing spots can also be discovered with a small motor boat (rental also in Betina, easy to navigate and no boat license required) or Seakayak.
This 56m² apartment consists of a living room with a kitchenette and basic cooking utensils (dishes, fridge with freezer compartment, stove and basic cooking spices). The living room welcomes you with an antique wardrobe with its "history" and a few tiny pieces of antiquity "that means life". There is also a sofa that can be converted into a comfortable sofa bed (145x 195cm) and a bunk bed. In a separate room you will find the double bed made of pieces of oak beams (Gajeta) from the time of the monarchy with a canopy (160x200cm, with 2 anatomical mattresses, bedding). The bathroom was equipped with a shower, toilet and towels. Air conditioning, internet wi-fi and satellite TV are also available. There is no balcony and terrace, as the house was originally built in this traditional manner. Guests often say that they can cool off during the summer heat either by the sea or in the shady house.
