The very heart of Svetvincenat is its main square, called „Placa“, together with Morosini-Grimani castle, the landmark of the place and one of the most important Venetian fortifications in Istria. What makes the cultural heritage of Svetvincenat a memorable experience are the wall frescoes to be found in St Vincent’s chapel next to the cemetery and in St Catherine’s church. Each years, this special little town is home to many visitors attracted by its rich tradition and its interesting and diverse events, among which the best known are the Medieval festival, the Cheese festival and the Dance and non-verbal theater festival. We also recommend visit to the historic city of Pula, with its vigorous city life, crowded streets and vibrant atmosphere. The famous Roman Colosseum is the magnificent open stage for various summer festivals, concerts, ballet, operas, movies... For the nature lovers the following destinations are definitively worth a day trip: Nature park Cape Kamenjak - peninsula of Kamenjak, a wonder of nature’s architecture, situated at the south of Istria, near the village called Premantura. National park Brijuni, with its natural, cultural and historical heritage, is another attractive site in the region. Children will certainly be challenged to visit adrenaline park Glavani (15 km from the house), otherwise the sea world presented in the Pula Aquarium, or aqua park in Novigrad.
