Description
Lovely holiday home on Nordmors close to Ejerslev harbour. The house is on one level and there are 2 rooms, both with double beds. In addition, there is a double sofa bed in the living room. Lovely dining and living room and fine kitchen. Beautiful garden in quiet surroundings. Nice terrace from the living room. A good starting point for experiences in the beautiful nature at Mors.
Nature in particular has always been a large part of Mors' identity, and outside the world the island is best known for its jetty cliffs. Hanklit, with its 61 m, is the most famous cliff. Don't miss out on a trip to the top and enjoy the view over Thisted widening and over the hilly landscape that surrounds Hanklit. A trip along the beach to Salgjerhøj will be obvious. Salgjerhøj (89 m) is the island's highest point and from the top you get a clear sense of the varied and distinctive nature found on Mors. In clear weather, you should be able to count 22 of the total of 34 churches on Mors.
Don't be fooled by Ejerslev harbour. Take a walk around the lagoon, which is surrounded by large breakwaters. Try your luck as a fossil hunter. At the harbor, the café Lagunen is open during the season and serves Danish and Kurdish food.
At the Fossil and Molermuseet, 55 million years of history are told through the many discoveries made in the moler at Mors. At the agricultural museum Skarregaard, time has stood still in 1958 and the site lies beautifully down to the 2 Skarresøer. There is a nice nature playground here. The nature around Skarregaard invites you to trot. Feggeklit with the legend of King Fegge lies at the very tip of the island and there is a ferry to Nordthy.
Nykøbing is the island's capital and here you will find the local history museum Dueholm Kloster, which shows the history of the Morsing residents and also has changing special exhibitions. This is also where you will find the Danish Foundry Museum, which exhibits the old Morsø stoves and stoves. The town's lovely pedestrian street connects the town with the harbour, where there is life all summer long. Here you can every evening at 21 in the season, experience the sun playing down at the marina. It is also in Nykøbing that Morsø Golfklub has their beautiful 18-hole golf course.
The scenic Legind Bjerge invites you to hikes and there are also mountain bike tracks. There are also marked lanes in Sindbjerg Plantage.
It is in the Legind area that you will find Jesperhus Holiday Park, where there are experiences for the whole family. Here is a flower park, playground, Hugoland, water park and much, much more. Come and experience it yourself.
Øen Mors holds experiences for many days.
