Description
Modernized and very well-maintained, this older summer house is located close to Sæby's child-friendly sandy beach, with the promenade leading right into the charming town center and harbor area.
The house is small but very functional, with three bedrooms and a kitchen/living area with a terrace door and a small bay window that offers a view of the garden. The house has a beautifully modernized bathroom and a generally lovely interior with fine details. There is a small cozy enclosed terrace where you can enjoy the sun or meals during your holiday. There are also swings and a sandbox for many hours of play for the children.
The summer house has a sea view and is just 200 meters from the Kattegat and the promenade that leads into the town center. Here, there is a good selection of retail shops and restaurants in the pedestrian streets and at the harbor. In the center, there are also several supermarkets, as well as a sandy beach at the harbor. So, if it's warm while shopping, you can quickly take a refreshing dip. The area around Algade invites a stroll, with several artisans in the old town, a district brimming with charm and atmosphere with well-maintained old houses.

Sæby is worth several visits. It is a very charming market town with good shopping opportunities and attractions. The harbor has many pleasure boats in the summer, where you can buy ice cream and fresh fish, and the maritime atmosphere with sailboats, cafes, and shops is bustling with life.
Sæby is a market town that turns 500 years old in 2024. In the old town lies the monastery church of St. Mariæ. In this area, you will also find Sæby Miniby, with houses from 1900, the Coastal Museum, Sæby water mill, and several interesting artisans in the old town around Algade. On the outskirts of the town, there is an attractive 18-hole golf course and Sæbygaard Castle, which are also worth a visit.
The Coastal Museum has branches in Sæby, Frederikshavn, and Skagen, and tells the story of life by the coast, past and present. In Sæby, Sæby Miniby and Sæbygaard also contribute to the local history.
About 10 km north lies Frederikshavn, where the Palm Beach is a must-see in the summer months, and the Bangsbo area is also an experience with a viewpoint, Botanical Garden, and Deer Park. If you continue further north, there is much to experience in Skagen, where Grenen and the Skagen museums are must-sees. If there are teddy bear fans in the family, the cozy little Teddy Bear Museum will be a big hit. The Gray Lighthouse, the Buried Church, and Råbjerg Mile are also experiences that will create holiday memories.
An hour's drive from Sæby is Skagen, where you can experience the world of the Skagen painters up close, Grenen, and see where the two seas meet. On the west coast of North Jutland, the North Sea Oceanarium, Northern Europe's largest aquarium, can be a great excursion destination for families with children. To the south is Aalborg (Denmark's third-largest city), if the possibilities of city life are appealing.
