The house is centrally located for shopping and attractions in Sæby. The old town around Algade, the Kystmuseet (Coast Museum), the monastery church, the many artisans, and especially the maritime atmosphere down at the harbor are unforgettable holiday experiences. Within driving distance from Sæby, you'll find Skagen with Grenen and the Grey Lighthouse to the north, the Powder Tower and Viewing Point in Frederikshavn, and on the west coast, the North Sea Oceanarium is a great experience. Several small coastal towns on the west coast also contribute to the holiday experience with a visit.

THE AREA:
Sæby is worth visiting multiple times. It is a very charming market town with good shopping opportunities and attractions. The harbor hosts many yachts in the summer, where you can buy ice cream and fresh fish, and the maritime atmosphere with sailboats, cafes, and shops is bustling with life.

Sæby is a market town that will turn 500 years old in 2024. In the old town is the monastery church St. Mariæ. In this area, you will also find Sæby Miniby, with houses from around 1900, the Coast Museum, Sæby Watermill, and several exciting artisans in the old town around Algade. On the outskirts of the town is a beautiful and attractive 18-hole golf course and Sæbygaard Castle, which is also worth a visit.

An hour's drive from Sæby lies Skagen, where you can experience the environment of the Skagen painters up close, Grenen where the two seas meet, and much more. On the west coast of North Jutland, the North Sea Oceanarium, Northern Europe's largest aquarium, can be a great excursion for families. To the south is Aalborg (Denmark's 3rd largest city) if the opportunities of city life appeal to you.
