All bedrooms and the living area are equipped with air-conditioning (separate charge). The living room and master bedroom have additionally ultra-silent ceiling fans. The generous living area with an open-beamed ceiling and traditional fireplace invites you to spend many hours in good company with family and friends. On hot days, the air-conditioning and /or ceiling fan will cool the room, while on cool days, the floor-heating throughout the main floor will deliver a warm and cosy atmosphere. The house is equipped with ultra-fast (fibre-optics) Internet. Satellite-TV and stereo system will entertain you when you are not in the mood to explore the surroundings. A bright, friendly dining area adjoins the salon. The large dining room table not only serves to host generous dinners for family and friends, but also to play, or for night-long discussions of the affairs of the world over a glass of wine (or two). The same is also true, of course, for the two partially covered terraces, where you can lounge in the shade or bask in the sun as you please, and where you can enjoy sultry summer evenings with a barbeque feast. The house has several indoor and outdoor games available, including table-tennis, baby foot and boule for the more competitive-spirited. For babies and toddlers, there is a highchair and crib bed on hand. The bright and colourful semi-open kitchen leaves, in terms of equipment, little to wish for. It is well-equipped to cook a gourmet-dinner for eight or more, or to serve a quick in-between snack for the family. The top-of-the-line gas range is the dream of every hobby cook. Microwave, icecube maker, dishwasher, toaster, espresso machine & co. make life in the kitchen easy. Out on the terrace, you will find a gas BBQ to treat family and friends to a tasty piece of meat or a fish fresh from the market. The extensive deck surrounding the generous 10 x 6 metre saltwater pool offers plenty of space to laze in the sun or enjoy the summer day in the shade of an umbrella. Around the pool area, you will find an extensive, typically provençal garden with olive trees, cypresses, pines, oak trees and many flowering and fragrant shrubs. The town lies in the heart of “the green Var”, halfway between the splendid Mediterranean coast and the famous “Gorges du Verdon”. It has preserved its typical small-town Provençal character and charm, as have the many villages and towns in the area, like Flayosc, Cotignac or the artists’ town of Tourtour, for example. Historical sites like the famous Abbaye du Thoronet are reachable within a short drive. Every day of the week, there is a colourful market of local or regional importance in one of the towns of the region, where you can fully immerse yourself in the local scene and forget you ever lived elsewhere. The area is well-liked by cyclists who appreciate the ever-changing terrain. Riding stables offer courses and ride-outs. Countless Châteaux in the immediate surroundings are inviting you for a wine-tasting. Golf, riding, biking, hiking, or just letting it all hang out in a unique mediterranean culture and landscape, are the order of the day. Provençe pure! And if you have your mind set on a day by the ocean, or on an unforgettable drive along the picturesque coast, the beautiful beaches of Sainte Maxime are only about 40 minutes away. Famous places, like Cannes, Nice, St. Tropez, Toulon or Aix-en-Provençe, are more or less within an hour’s drive; Marseilles is but a 90-minute drive away. Other famous sites like Avignon, Arles or Nîmes with their famous Roman amphitheatres, the Pont du Gard, the Camargue, Uzès or Sète are well within reach of a day’s trip.
