From here you can also quickly reach the Wattermeer of the North Sea, where you can enjoy beautiful bathing days or exciting mudflat walks, depending on the tide. The small seaside resort of Neßmersiel offers fresh North Sea air and a beautiful beach with beach chairs and play equipment - ideal for families with children. From here you have an impressive view of the North Sea islands of Baltrum and Norderney. Neßmersiel is also called the "Wadwalkers' Mecca" because many of the expertly guided mudflat walks through the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park and to the two islands, which you can see from the beach, start here. So much fresh sea air will naturally make you hungry - a fresh seafood platter in one of the town's restaurants is just the right time! Activities in the area: The area is ideal for long walks or bike rides on the dike. A cruise is of course an essential part of your North Sea holiday. If you don't want to go deep-sea fishing (from Dornumersiel, about five miles), you can take a day trip to Baltrum Island instead.
