Landal Hunerwold State is about 40 km from Assen and borders a stunning area of moors, heath fields, shifting dunes and forests. The 'Het Drents-Friese World' National Park on the provincial border is particularly suitable for a day trip. The holiday park with its 97 bungalows, most of which are equipped with their own sauna and sunbed, is located next to a small recreational lake.

Fireworks are not permitted at this holiday park. So if you would like to avoid the fireworks, perhaps because you have pets that are afraid of them, this would be the perfect park for you to celebrate the New Year. It is not permitted to set off fireworks of any kind.
