In summer there are many hiking possibilities.  Shortly 10 km away is the village of Brienz with Lake Brienz and the steam train to the Rothorn and the Ballenberg Open Air Museum of Switzerland. By car you can quickly reach Lucerne, Interlaken or over the Susten Pass to the canton of Uri and over the Grimsel Pass to Valais.
