Description

Enjoy a quiet and resourcing holiday in this chalet nested in Sarreyer, a heritage village near Verbier and the 4 Valleys ski area. The chalet is located in an alpine paradise, ideal for skiing or snowboarding, hiking, cycling or simply enjoying nature. There are plenty activites, both in summer and winter. The chalet has three bedrooms (1x2 single beds on the ground floor - can be put together), 1 bunk bed on the 1st floor, 1 double bed 160cm on the 1st floor), a living room (with a sofa bed) on the 1st floor, a dining room and a separate kitchen on the ground floor and two WC/shower (one on each floor).  In summer, you can enjoy your meal outside or just enjoy our (small) garden. It is an old chalet, which we are gradually renovating. The kitchen, the dining room and the ground level bedroom have just been refurbished, and the bathrooms are new. The other parts are older. Heating is done with wood, thanks to two soapstones ("pierre-ollaires") that diffuse the heat (see photos). There are also additional electric heaters. As this is an old chalet, the ceilings are not very high (especially on the ground floor). One or two private parking spaces are available at the front of the chalet (access might be difficult in winter). As the streets to access the chalet are very narrow, it is advisable to park for free nearby. In the village, everything can be done on foot. The chalet is fully equipped. Sheets and bath towels are included. In summer, you get free access to the gondolas, buses and swimming pool with the visitor's tax. There is a bus service to the village several times a day (you can check the timetable on the TMR SA website) and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the departure of the cable car in Le Châble. You will then have access to the entire ski resort "4 Vallées", as welll as to Verbier and Bruson.   If you prefer to drive, it takes 10-15 minutes to get to Le Châble by car, where there is a large free public car park. In summer, a moutain road leads you in 10 minutes to Verbier. In 15 minutes by car, you can access the slopes of the 4 Valleys skiing area, one of the largest and most beautiful ski areas in Europe (free parking at Le Châble cable car station; charging stations for electrical cars). A bus is also running between Sarreyer and Le Châble. In summer, the "route du Soleil" will bring you to Verbier in 10 minutes. Apart from skiing, Verbier is known for its night life, its classical music festival in summer, and many other activities for all ages (golf, swimming pool, climbing, hiking, etc.).  The rest of the region (called Val de Bagnes) is a paradise for mountain lovers. The upper part of the Val de Bagnes, far from the tourist floods, is a nature reserve. Various sporting and cultural events are held in the villages of the Val de Bagnes throughout the year (running and bike races, Palp Festival and its Rocklette and Electroclette events, raclette festival in September, etc.).
