The Scottish Borders offer a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of busy lives. This attractive holiday home whilst situated close to the town centre, is tucked away in a garden setting on a sloping hillside affording open views across the Historic Royal Burgh of Jedburgh and the countryside beyond. The cottage is accessed via the external staircase and furnished balcony. The modern design of the cottage has created an open plan living area with a split level kitchen and bathroom with 2 bedrooms comprising of 1 double and 1 twin bedroom on the next level. The historic town of Jedburgh has choice of bars restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. For couples or families interested in walking, cycling and exploring the Border countryside. All within an hours' drive are Hadrians Wall, Holy Island, Edinburgh, beautiful coastline with sandy beaches and rugged cliffs, lochs and rivers, stately homes. castles and other visitor attractions all on uncrowded roads. The combination of good quality accommodation, outstanding views and easy access into the town make this a perfect base for your holiday. Come and enjoy the unhurried pace of the Scottish Borders. The combination of quality accommodation and outstanding views make an ideal base. With gas central heating and double glazing to add to your comfort. There is free parking on site for your vehicle. Full details will be sent by email to you a few days before your arrival. There is a central location for disposal and recycling of rubbish. Details will be in your cottage. WiFi is free, however we are in a rural location and WiFi speeds may vary. Downloading/streaming may not be possible. Note: One well behaved dog is welcome to come on holiday with you. The abundance of wildlife surrounding us means that your dog should be kept on a lead at all times within the policies. Please respect our cottage and future guests by keeping your dog off the furniture and beds and never leave the dog unattended in the cottage. We have a supply of dog towels, poo bags and dog treats in the cottage for your convenience. If you are bringing a dog, please let us know so that we can make sure that dog towels etc are provided.

The Scottish Borders offers an unhurried way of life. There are wonderful countryside quiet roads, history and heritage, castles and country homes. In addition, glorious sandy beaches and an awesome rugged coastline are all within an hour’s drive.
In the town, visitor attractions include a 12th century abbey, Mary Queen of Scots house and a Georgian Reform Jail, as well as way-marked walking and cycling routes - (bicycle hire nearby). There is also an excellent Gateway Visitor Centre where you can find out about what to see and do for day excursions during your stay:
For example, Edinburgh and the Highlands to the north, Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens to the south, Holy Island, St Abbs Head and the coast to the east, and St Mary's Loch to the west. Castles and stately homes abound in all directions amid the beautiful rolling countryside.
The cottage is located within a few minutes walk of the conservation town centre of Jedburgh and all its amenities and facilities You can leave the car behind in the on-site car park after a busy day touring and enjoy a choice of restaurants, pubs, (some with local evening entertainment) a fitness centre with 25m swimming pool, tennis and squash courts.
There are regular farmers and continental markets held in the town centre; annual festivals include the "Jedburgh Callants Festival" at the end of June and the beginning of July; Jedburgh Half marathon in October and rugby at The Riverside.“Walking Festival” later in the year, see: http://www.borderswalking.com/
